STOLEN CHILDHOODS: www.stolenchildhoods.org
Narrated by Meryl Streep and filmed in 8 countries, broadcast worldwide and translated into 6 languages, STOLEN CHILDHOODS is the story of 180 million children for whom life is nothing but work. Children enslaved at rug looms, in brickyards, on fishing platforms, in pesticide-drenched tobacco fields, trafficked in the sex trade and American children abandoning their educations to pick our onions, all have their childhoods stolen away. Their life is to make goods we consume. But hope comes in small packages . . . big-hearted programs help many of these kids to a future.
Profiled on CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show and NBC News Nightline, Aaron brown called the film "A powerful piece of journalism. A testament to the dedication of the filmmakers." Released theatrically in the U.S. (20 cities) and syndicated on PBS, it has been used as curriculum by hundreds of universities worldwide. The film examines the causes, nature and elimination of child labor trafficking and slavery.

THE SAME HEART:
Currently in production, THE SAME HEART is a feature documentary told by the villagers of Sauri, Kenya, the first "Millennium Village" soon to be "released" from its help by global economists and scientists. Will the village sink or swim on its own? What do villagers think about the outside help they've been given? What have they learned? Will their village be able to be self-sustaining? The film is voiced entirely by the villagers themselves. Sauri suffered chronic hunger, poverty, ignorance and were once a defeated people. Who are these villagers today? What is the state of their children?
"If you have the same heart in the whole world, the rich nations to support the poor nations, not exploit them, this is something we would like to see. We want reformers, people to change this world to be a better place to live in."" Geoffrey Bahuya, community organizer
